Did you know the foods you eat every day can either throw your hormones out of balance—or gently restore them? If you’re battling fatigue, mood swings, sleepless nights, or just feeling “off,” you’re not alone. The good news is that God designed your body with wisdom, and He also provided the foods to help your hormones thrive.
In this podcast, I’ll share 5 powerful, God-given foods that naturally balance hormones. These aren’t gimmicks—just whole foods, backed by science and rooted in God’s creation. By the end, you’ll know exactly which foods to start adding to your meals to help bring your body into balance.

Let me introduce you to Clara, a woman in her late 40s who came to me feeling completely fed up with her hormones. She said, “Laura, I just want to feel like myself again. I’m tired of the mood swings, hot flashes, sleepless nights, and feeling like my body is working against me.” She’d struggled with severe constipation for years, which affected her life in so many ways.
Clara had tried all sorts of diets and supplements, but nothing seemed to help. Together, we focused on simple, nourishing foods—real, whole foods that God created—and boosting her metabolic health. Within two weeks, her energy returned, her sleep improved, and her mood stabilized. She told me, “I finally feel hopeful again.”
Her story is a reminder: you’re not alone, and there is a way forward. God designed your body with wisdom, and He’s provided the foods to help you thrive—even through menopause.
Psalm 139:14 (NKJV): “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
Food is one of God’s primary tools for hormonal balance. Here are some of my top five picks:
Flaxseeds are rich in lignans and fiber, which help regulate estrogen levels and support hormone balance. They’re great for PMS, menopause, and everyday balance. Bonus: Flaxseeds are high in omega-3s for heart health and reduce inflammation. Try sprinkling them in smoothies, oats, or yogurt.
How to use them:
Tip: Always use ground flaxseed for better absorption, and store in the fridge to keep fresh.
Healthy fats in avocados are the building blocks for hormones like progesterone and cortisol. They stabilize blood sugar and support hormone production. Add avocados to salads, smoothies, or as a side with meals.
How to use them:
Tip: Pair with cruciferous veg for a double hormone-supportive meal.
Broccoli, kale, and Brussels sprouts help your liver detox excess estrogen. They’re high in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Steam, roast, or add them to stir-fries for hormone support.
How to use them:
Tip: Lightly cook to preserve nutrients but make them easier to digest.
Omega-3s in salmon reduce inflammation and support thyroid and adrenal glands. They help calm cortisol (the stress hormone) and improve mood. Swap one dinner with salmon or sardines weekly.
How to use it:
Tip: Aim for 2–3 servings per week for optimal benefits.
Cinnamon balances blood sugar and stabilizes insulin—a master hormone. It can reduce cravings, improve energy, and support overall hormonal balance. Sprinkle cinnamon on oats, smoothies, or coffee. If you’re sensitive to oxalates, try ginger instead!
How to use it:
Tip: Ceylon cinnamon (“true” cinnamon) is preferred for regular use, as it contains lower levels of coumarin (a compound that can be harmful in large amounts) compared to Cassia cinnamon.
Isn’t it amazing? God wove wisdom into even the smallest foods and spices to support us. Nourishing your body is one way to honor God and care for His creation—you.
Here’s what I want you to do: Pick just ONE of these foods this week and start adding it into your meals. Small, faithful steps lead to lasting health.
